Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Highway 160 in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 9, 2023) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on Highway 160 near Arden Way.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 10:40 p.m. Monday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck either a 56- or 57-year-old man on the road. Due to the nature of the crash, the victim suffered fatal injuries. Officials have yet to release his name.
 
Following the incident, police performed an investigation that proved neither alcohol nor drugs played a factor. Reports said that the driver tried to avoid the crash, but efforts fell short.
