MISSION VALLEY, CA (September 16, 2021) — A man died in a bicycle crash on Camino Del Rio near Qualcomm Way Tuesday night.
 
According to San Diego Police, the deadly crash happened around 8:50 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 25-year-old woman in a Nissan Sentra sedan struck a 42-year-old man biking westbound in the bicycle lane.
 
Tragically, the man died shortly after.
 
Following the accident, police learned that the woman had been driving in the wrong way.
 
As a result of the examination, officers ruled out impairment as a possible explanation for the accident. However, an ongoing investigation continues.
