Man Killed in 2-Car Crash on Akers Road in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 24, 2023) — A man died in a 2-car accident on Akers Road at Pacheco Road.
 
According to the Bakersfield Police, the deadly two-vehicle collision happened early Friday. For speed-related reasons, a male driver heading northbound on Akers Road struck a westbound vehicle on Pacheco Road. Upon impact, the man’s car veered out of control and struck a fence before rolling over.
 
At some point during the accident, the male driver and his female passenger were ejected from the cabin.
 
Minutes later, emergency personnel responded to the scene and Bakersfield Police began investigating the events that transpired. Tragically, the man passed away in the accident and his female passenger suffered minor injuries. Although the female driver of the other car reported no injuries, her passenger required hospitalization.
