Driver Killed, Passenger Injured in Tractor-Trailer Accident on Gill Station Coso Road near Highway 395

 
OLANCHA, CA (February 21, 2022) — A man died in a tractor-trailer crash on Gill Station Coso Road on Saturday, February 19.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, at around 7:24 p.m., a 28-year-old driver from Laguna Beach moved west on Gill Station Coso Road. Then he entered Highway 395 after running through a stop sign.
 
CHP said that a 2014 Peterbilt tractor-trailer struck his 2016 BMW. The driver died at the scene. Medics rushed his 24-year-old Laguna Beach man passenger for treatment.
 
Paramedics rushed the man’s passenger to Antelope Valley Hospital with major injuries.
 
The 60-year-old Peterbilt driver from Bakersfield did not sustain injuries.
 
The CHP continues to investigate the case.
