Suspected DUI Driver Causes Crash on Briggsmore Avenue in Modesto Leaving Another Motorist in Critical Condition

 
MODESTO, CA (February 15, 2024) – A man was critically injured in a DUI crash at Briggsmore Avenue and Rose Avenue in Modesto on Tuesday evening.
 
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on February 13. According to the Modesto Police Department, a Kia Optima struck a Ford Fiesta at the intersection.
 
As a result, the man driving the Fiesta suffered major injuries. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, the woman driving the Kia had non-life-threatening injuries. Police determined that she was driving under the influence and arrested her.
