Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle on 605 Freeway at 91 Freeway

 
CERRITOS, CA (March 31, 2021) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident Friday evening in Cerritos, CHP officials said.
 
The accident happened around 8:00 p.m. on 605 Freeway near 91 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, 46-year-old Luis Elenes was in the area when a vehicle struck him. First responders found him lying on the ground under an overpass.
 
Life-saving efforts were performed, but Elenes died at the scene.
 
At least one vehicle was located nearby, unknown if it was the one who struck the victim.
 
The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.
