Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes Lanes on 805 in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 23, 2021) – Police reported that loose dogs caused a multi-vehicle crash on 805 Freeway on September 17.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at University Avenue at approximately 9:30 AM.
 
Based on an initial report, CHP officers received a call about a man chasing two huskies near the intersection. Subsequently, the dogs caused a Jeep Cherokee, a big rig, and two or three other vehicles to collide in the lanes.
 
As a result, the pile-up blocked the middles lanes of the freeway. The San Diego Fire Department arrived at the scene to clear the road.
 
Paramedics did not report any injuries in the crash.
 
At this point, an investigation is ongoing. Also, no other details are available.
