Vanessa Miranda, Antonio Gamboa, Lisa Sauerberg and Others Hospitalized in Fatal Salton City Car Crash

 
SALTON CITY, CA (February 9, 2022) — Lisa Sauerberg suffered major injuries in a fatal two-car accident on Highway 86 at Norm Niver Road on Sunday.
 
According to reports, the two-vehicle crash happened around 12:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a westbound Chevy Traverse collided with a southbound Dodge Avenger on Highway 86 at Norm Niver Road. Due to the nature of the crash, a 57-year-old Brawley woman died in the accident. However, authorities have yet to release her name.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and brought the 46-year-old Chevy driver — Sauerberg — and a 32-year-old Chevy passenger — Vanessa Miranda — to El Centro Regional Medical Center with major injuries. Meanwhile, a team transported two other Chevy passengers — 57-year-old Irene Valles and 56-year-old Mary Vallesgarcia — to Pioneers Memorial Hospital while 58-year-old Antonio Gamboa — the Dodge driver — received care at Desert Regional Medical Center for his major injuries.
