Man Dies in Long Beach Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Artesia Boulevard

 
LONG BEACH, CA (February 9, 2022) — A male pedestrian died in a hit-and-run accident on Artesia Boulevard near Rose Avenue on Monday night.
 
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the fatal hit-and-run occurred around 11:15 p.m. For unknown reasons, the Long Beach man, believed to be in his 30s, was standing on the road of Artesia Boulevard.
 
Subsequently, a driver of a dark-colored sedan struck him and drove eastbound on Artesia Boulevard.
 
Shortly after, police responded and found the victim before Long Beach Fire Department officials arrived. However, after receiving life-saving care, the unidentified victim died from his wounds. His name has not been released.
 
At this time, officers believe speed might have contributed to the accident. Although, they need the public’s help to identify the suspect involved in this fatal crash. Anyone with information should reach out to the authorities.
