Lanes Closed After Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 101 in Mountain View

 
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (April 3, 2024) — Police closed several lanes following a wrong-way accident on Highway 101 near Rengstorff Avenue Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-car crash happened around 7:30 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver began driving northbound in the southbound lanes. Subsequently, the wrong-way driver collided with another vehicle near the Rengstorff Avenue off-ramp.
 
Shortly after, emergency personnel and police arrived to close the two left lanes to investigate. Information surrounding any injuries or why the driver was headed in the wrong direction was unavailable.
