Lacey Gonzalez Charged, Dustin Lewis Released in Police Pursuit Crash on Olive Avenue at Hermosa Street

 
LINDSAY, CA (March 7, 2022) — Lacey Gonzalez faces charges in Saturday’s police chase accident on Olive Avenue at Hermosa Street.
 
According to the Tulare Police Department, the incident happened around 7:00 p.m. when officers tried to make a traffic stop on a stolen car.
 
Subsequently, a chase occurred, which led California Highway Patrol officers and Tulare police units to the city of Lindsay. At the intersection of Olive Avenue and Hermosa Street, the 36-year-old driver failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a police vehicle.
 
Due to the crash, the officer suffered major injuries but as of Sunday remains in stable condition. As for the suspect driver — later identified as Lacey Emily Gonzalez — and her 42-year-old passenger, Dustin Lewis, both sought hospital care.
 
As of now, police have Gonzalez incarcerated at Tulare County Jail on suspicion of reckless escape, DUI and other charges while they released Lewis of any charges. If anyone has more information on this case, please contact police officers.
