RANCHO MIRAGE, CA (March 7, 2022) – Four people were injured in a two-car accident at Monterey Avenue and Frank Sinatra Drive in Rancho Mirage on Saturday evening.
 
The accident happened around 7:16 p.m. on March 5. According to CAL FIRE and Riverside County Fire Department, two cars collided at the intersection for unknown reasons.
 
Firefighters used hydraulic tools to free two moderately injured people from a vehicle. Two others had minor injuries.
 
Officials did not provide descriptions of the vehicles involved. They also did not indicate if the four victims were the only people in the vehicles.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
