Kurt Pettitt Dies, Lynda Pettitt Hurt in DUI Accident on Jack Tone Road near Mariposa Road

 
STOCKTON, CA (June 16, 2022) Kurt Pettitt died in a DUI crash on Jack Tone Road near Mariposa Road on Saturday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal DUI accident happened around 9:15 p.m. For DUI-related reasons, a northbound driver in a 2020 Volkswagen Jetta reportedly traveling at speeds over 100 mph before the incident crashed into a northbound Kawasaki cart.
 
Due to the impact, the Kawasaki ejected both Kurt Pettitt and his 52-year-old wife Lynda Pettitt, along with two dogs riding with them.
 
Due to the force of the collision, the longtime Escalon Unified School District maintenance technician and Collegeville Fire Department Assistant Kurt Pettitt died in the accident. Soon after, paramedics transported his wife to San Joaquin General Hospital with moderate injuries.
 
Following the crash, authorities interviewed the 20-year-old Volkswagen driver from Ripon. Although he indicated that he was driving at 70 to 80 miles per hour, witnesses claimed otherwise, leading to his DUI arrest.
