29-Year-Old Woman Dies in Late Evening Two-Vehicle Crash in Palm Springs

 
PALM SPRINGS, CA (October 17, 2021) – Kiara Zarate was killed in a car accident in Palm Springs late Saturday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:40 p.m. on North Gene Autry Trail, just south of Salvia Road. According to the Palm Springs Police Department, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they located Zarate suffering from severe injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim died at the scene.
 
Zarate was a 29-year-old Desert Hot Springs resident, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
 
At this time, the exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
