Morning Hit-and-Run on West Hordhoff Street in North Hills Kills Child and Seriously Injures Woman

 
NORTH HILLS, CA (October 17, 2021) – An 18-month-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run crash on West Nordhoff Street in North Hills Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened around 7:35 a.m. on October 17, in the 15500 block of West Nordhoff Street. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a Honda CRV was heading west in the area and making a left turn when it collided with a Toyota Camry.
 
The Honda then jumped the curb and hit the child and a woman, who were standing on a corner near a food cart. The woman was not related to the child, who was with his grandparents and was in a stroller.
 
Paramedics rushed the boy to a hospital, where he later died.
 
The woman suffered serious injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the Toyota did not stop after the crash and police were searching for the driver, who is suspected of felony hit-and-run.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
