Justin Thompson Detained in Fatal Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Foothill Boulevard near Cedar Avenue

 
RIALTO, CA (July 24, 2023) — Justin Thompson faces charges in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Foothill Boulevard near Cedar Avenue.
 
According to Rialto police officers, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 11:30 p.m. on July 20. Upon responding, Rialto officers learned that the driver involved in the crash had already left.
 
In the investigation, police learned that the driver struck the woman in a wheelchair outside of a marked crosswalk. The victim was brought to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where she passed away.
 
Through a continual investigation, the Major Accident Investigation Team identified 28-year-old Justin Thomas as the driver involved. He reportedly abandoned the vehicle near his home.
 
Officers arrested him and booked him into West Valley Detention Center on hit-and-run charges causing injury or death with a bail set to $30,000.
