70-Year-Old Jorge Alvarez Hospitalized in Head-On Crash on 34 Freeway near Wood Road

 
OXNARD, CA (July 24, 2023) — Jorge Alvarez suffered major injuries in a head-on accident on the 34 Freeway near Wood Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-car crash happened around 5:15 p.m. Friday. For unknown reasons, 70-year-old Alvarez crashed his Nissan into a Jeep in a head-on fashion.
 
As a result, the 70-year-old Van Nuys man suffered major injuries, prompting paramedics to airlift him to Ventura County Medical Center. The driver of the Jeep, described as a 32-year-old from Searcy, Arkansas, suffered moderate injuries and received care at St John’s Hospital.
 
Authorities did not say what led to the accident or where the fault lies. However, an investigation into the details should confirm this information.
