Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle at Slover and Spruce Avenues

 
BLOOMINGTON, CA (May 18, 2022) – Julio Cesar Ortiz was killed in a pedestrian accident in Bloomington, late Friday evening on May 13.
 
The accident happened around 11:00 p.m. at the intersection of Slover Avenue and Spruce Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, Ortiz was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
After the crash, Ortiz suffered significant injuries and died at the scene. He was a 40-year-old Jurupa Valley resident.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was involved in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
