Passenger Dies in DUI Crash on Ager Beswick Road in Siskiyou County, Joshua Justice Arrested

 
SISKIYOU COUNTY, CA (May 18, 2021) – Joshua Justice was arrested after a fatal DUI accident at Ager Beswick Road and Desavado Road late Sunday evening.
 
The accident happened around 11:05 p.m. on May 16, just east of Little Bogus Creek Road near Montague. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 33-year-old man was driving an SUV eastbound when he drifted off the roadway. He then overcorrected and lost control, causing the car to overturn.
 
As a result, a 54-year-old man in the passenger seat was ejected and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the CHP said. Authorities will release his name once family members are properly notified.
 
Meanwhile, Justice suffered moderate injuries. Police later arrested him for DUI and vehicular manslaughter. He was booked into the Siskiyou County Jail.
 
The fatal crash is under investigation, but alcohol is suspected to be a factor, police said.
