Fatal Big Rig Accident on Highway 138 in Los Angeles County

 
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA (May 18, 2021) – One person was killed Monday afternoon after a big rig accident on Highway 138 in Los Angeles County.
 
The accident happened a little after 4:00 p.m. at Old Ridge Route Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, two big rigs and a car collided for unknown reasons.
 
Firefighters paramedics responded to the scene and found one person trapped inside the car. They extricated the patient and pronounced them dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
Officials closed the highway while they cleared the wreckage.
 
It is unknown is speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
