Joseph Prieto Dies in Bicycle Crash on Almond Avenue near Elm Avenue

 
PATTERSON, CA (January 12, 2023) — Joseph Prieto died in a bicycle accident on Almond Avenue near Elm Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal bicycle crash happened around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday. For unknown reasons, 51-year-old Prieto moved into an eastbound lane, into the path of a Chevrolet sedan. Subsequently, the left-end of the Chevrolet struck Prieto, causing his fatal injuries.
 
It appears Prieto was riding a bicycle behind a slow-moving tractor-trailer on Almond Avenue before he moved into the path of the oncoming Chevrolet.
 
The 33-year-old Turlock woman and her 14- and 18-year-old passengers reported no injuries.
