Shane Shahan Arrested in Deadly Hit-and-Run Car Accident on First Street [Fresno, CA]

Shane Shahan Detained in Fatal Hit-and-Run Car Crash on First Street at McKinley Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (January 12, 2023) — Shane Shahan was arrested in a deadly hit-and-run car accident on First Street at McKinley Avenue.
 
According to Fresno Police, the fatal crash happened around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday. For unknown reasons, 33-year-old Shane Lee Shahan ran a red traffic light while heading westbound. Subsequently, his black truck crashed into a northbound car on First Street.
 
Two men in the northbound gold car suffered non-life-threatening to grave injuries in the crash. Soon after, paramedics took them to Community Regional Medical Center, where the passenger died. Officials have not released the victim’s name.
 
According to a witness, a man ran away from the crash, but officers were able to take that suspect into custody. Officers identified the suspect as Shahan, who now faces felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter charges.
