Jose Villasenor Injured in Fatal Rollover Accident on Highway 162 [Mendocino County, CA]

Jose Villasenor Hospitalized in Deadly Rollover Crash on Highway 162 near Mile Marker 8.30

 
MENDOCINO COUNTY, CA (August 18, 2022) — Jose Piedra Villasenor was injured in a fatal rollover accident on Highway 162 near mile marker 8.30.
 
According to a California Highway Patrol collision report, the single-car accident happened around 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday. Under unclear circumstances, 28-year-old Villasenor allowed his eastbound 1996 Ford Ranger to veer off the north edge of the road. Subsequently, the Ford became airborne and overturned several times down a steep embankment.
 
At some point during the accident, Villasenor’s passenger was ejected from the cabin and died from severe injuries.
 
Soon after, Laytonville Fire Department, Little Lake Fire Department and several others responded to the scene and brought Villasenor to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
 
At this time, authorities have withheld the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin. If anyone has more information on the leading cause of this accident, please contact the CHP.
