1 Killed, Several Injured in Multi-Car Crash on Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley
APPLE VALLEY, CA (August 18, 2022) — One person died in a multi-car accident on Bear Valley Road near Tujunga Drive on Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, the multi-vehicle collision happened around 12:46 p.m. For unknown reasons, a Robertson’s double-trailer powder hauler, a 2017 Subaru Forester and a four-door Mazda sedan crashed near the intersection.
Responding authorities from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District found a total of four patients. They subsequently requested two airships and noted that the driver of the semi-truck was trapped in the wreckage.
It took authorities about 45 minutes to release the driver from the semi-truck before they airlifted him to Loma Linda University Medical Center in stable condition. Meanwhile, a team airlifted another patient to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
Tragically, one person died at the scene of the crash. Reports did not say whether the person was a driver or a passenger.
At this time, information related to the leading cause was not available. However, the CHP will investigate this case from all angles. If anyone has more information, please contact the authorities.
