Jose Ramirez Detained in DUI Crash on Highway 29 near Highway 128
OAKVILLE, CA (January 6, 2022) — Jose Ramirez faces charges in Sunday’s DUI accident on Highway 29 near Highway 128.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. For DUI-related reasons, 20-year-old Jose Angel Ramirez drove his southbound vehicle into the northbound lanes.
Subsequently, a northbound driver attempted to swerve to avoid the imminent accident. However, both cars collided in the northbound lanes.
Following the accident, paramedics reached the scene and tended to two occupants of the northbound car who declined to be transported to a hospital. Meanwhile, officers arrested Ramirez and booked him into Napa County Jail on felony DUI charges.
