John King Arrested after Hit-and-Run Accident on West San Marcos Boulevard

 
SAN MARCOS, CA (September 27, 2021) — Officials arrested a man identified as John King after a hit-and-run crash on Thursday, September 23.
 
According to Lt. Amber Baggs, at 1:00 a.m. Thursday, deputies responded to the hit-and-run crash near the 1600 block of West San Marcos Boulevard.
 
Two vehicles were part of the collision with one driver who fled on foot.
 
A Sheriff’s ASTREA helicopter arrived at the area to help search the fleeing suspect.
 
San Diego Sheriff’s deputies in San Marcos later found and arrested the suspect John King. They said he already had two felony warrants out for his arrest. They booked him into the Vista jail.
 
Officials did not release any other information related to the incident.
