80-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by SUV in San Francisco

 
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 25, 2023) – Jian Huang was killed in a pedestrian accident in San Francisco Wednesday afternoon on September 20.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:30 p.m. at Valencia Street and 18th Street. According to the San Francisco Police Department, Huang was crossing the street when an SUV turning left from 18th onto Valencia struck him.
 
Huang was rushed to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. He was an 80-year-old San Francisco resident, according to the city’s Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. Further investigation is underway.
