Three-Vehicle Accident in Moorpark Kills 38-Year-Old Man

 
MOORPARK, CA (January 26, 2023) – Jesus Aguilar died in a three-vehicle on Moorpark Road near Tierra Rejada Road Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. along Moorpark Road near Tierra Rejada, just west of Highway 23. According to the California Highway Patrol, Aguilar was driving a Honda Accord northbound on Moorpark Road when he crossed over the double yellow lines and collided head-on with a Jeep Cherokee that was headed southbound.
 
The Jeep went down a nearby embankment while the Honda spun out and hit a Chevrolet Traverse that was also traveling southbound.
 
Aguilar sustained multiple injuries and died at the scene. He was a 38-year-old Oxnard resident, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
The driver of the Jeep suffered a broken leg. The driver of the Chevrolet was unharmed.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
