10-Year-Old Boy Dies after Struck by Truck in Sanger

 
SANGER, CA (March 10, 2024)Jameson Doyle was hit and killed by a truck in Sanger Thursday night on March 7.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:00 p.m. outside of Rotary Ball Par, at Bethel Avenue and Cherry Avenue. According to the Sanger Police Department, Doyle was at a baseball practice when he walked into the street.
 
For unknown reasons, a Chevrolet truck hit Doyle, knocking him on the ground.
 
First responders attempted life-saving measures and rushed Doyle to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where he later died.
 
Doyle was 10 years old, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office. He was a fifth grader at Quail Lakes Environmental Elementary School and was one month shy of his 11th birthday.
 
The driver of the truck, an 18-year-old boy, stayed and cooperated with police.
 
Police said drugs or alcohol do not seem to be a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
