Bicyclist Dies after Struck by Pickup Truck in Good Hope

 
GOOD HOPE, CA (April 8, 2024) – Jaime Gutierrez was killed in a bicycle accident in the Good Hope area of Riverside County late Saturday afternoon on April 6.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:14 p.m. on Highway 74 at Taylor Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Tacoma struck Gutierrez who was riding his bicycle.
 
A witness told the CHP the bicyclist was down on the dirt along the right-hand shoulder.
 
Gutierrez was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a 35-year-old Perris resident, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
 
The pickup truck’s driver stayed on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
