Jack Doerr Unharmed in One of 2 Car Crashes on Highway 70 near Caribou Road

 
BLAIRSDEN, CA (November 14, 2022) — Jack Doerr was involved in one of two car accidents last week on Highway 70 near Caribou Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, two collisions occurred on Highway 70 on November 7 and 8. Around 12:45 p.m., 26-year-old Doerr made an unsafe turning movement, which caused his vehicle to veer off the road and travel down a steep embankment. The vehicle subsequently struck a row of trees, which stopped the car from diving into the Feather River below.
 
Soon after, tow trucks arrived to assist with the damage. Fortunately, Doerr reported no injuries.
 
The next day around 4:39 p.m., a 67-year-old Loyalton man by the name of R. Thompson was driving at an unsafe speed for current road conditions. Subsequently, his eastbound 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck lost traction and spun out. As a result, it crossed the path of a westbound 2007 Ford pickup, driven by a 19-year-old woman by the name of F. Martin. Soon enough, both cars collided, leaving the Ford disabled.
 
Soon after, CHP investigators arrived to assess the situation. Per reports, all vehicles were forced to reduce their speed to 35 miles per hour due to an R-1 chain control restriction.
 
Information surrounding whether Thompson or Martin was injured remains unclear. Although, we will update this report with more information once we receive any.
