Car Overturns after Hit-and-Run on 15 Freeway near 215 Freeway in Devore

 
DEVORE, CA (January 24, 2024) – Injuries were reported after a hit-and-run collision on 15 Freeway, Monday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on January 22, at about 3:05 p.m. Due to unknown circumstances, a black Jeep Compass and another vehicle collided in the northbound lane near the 15 Freeway/125 Freeway split.
 
The impact of the collision caused the Jeep to overturn, blocking the slow lane.
 
As per reports, the occupants of the Jeep all sustained minor injuries. It is unknown if the victims needed hospitalization.
 
The second vehicle reportedly fled the area. Investigators described the fleeing vehicle as a gray pickup truck, believed to be a Chevrolet Silverado with driver side damage.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
