Elderly Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle in Adams-Normandie Neighborhood in South LA

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (May 24, 2023) – An 85-year-old homeless man was killed in a pedestrian accident in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood of South Los Angeles on Sunday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:45 p.m. on May 21. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the man was crossing the street outside of the crosswalk when a southbound vehicle struck him.
 
Paramedics took the pedestrian to a hospital where he was pronounced dead
 
The involved driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available. Further investigation is underway.
