Juan Rodas Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident on 405 Freeway [Westwood, CA]

Four Vehicles Collide on 405 Freeway in Westwood Area Killing 30-Year-Old Man

 
WESTWOOD, CA (May 24, 2023) – Juan Rodas was killed in a multi-vehicle accident in the Westwood area of Los Angeles early Monday morning on May 22.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:36 a.m. on southbound 405 Freeway at Sunset Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, four vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found the victim’s body in the middle of the freeway and pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Rodas was a 30-year-old pedestrian, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. His presence at the crash scene was not immediately known.
 
The CHP issued a SigAlert in the area, shutting down all southbound lanes for a couple of hours while they processed the scene.
 
An investigation into this fatality is underway.
