Police Seek Driver in Burbank Hit-and-Run Collision
BURBANK, CA (January 21, 2024) — A hit-and-run collision on Clybourn Avenue left a bicyclist injured on Tuesday morning.
Information from the Burbank Police Department indicated that the incident occurred on January 16, 2024, around 7:20 a.m. Several calls reported a traffic collision involving a 77-year-old male bicyclist on Clybourn Avenue near Oxnard Street.
Based on an initial investigation, the bicyclist was riding south on the east sidewalk of Clybourn Avenue, approaching Oxnard Street. Upon entering the intersection, a black sedan traveling east on Oxnard Street subsequently collided with the bicyclist. The sedan driver then fled the scene shortly after the collision.
The bicyclist suffered major injuries, prompting medical responders to rush him to a local trauma center for treatment. Additionally, the injuries are reportedly life-threatening.
