Guadalupe Ramirez Dies after DUI Rollover Crash in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (November 15, 2023) – Authorities identified 20-year-old Guadalupe Ramirez of Fresno as the passenger killed in a DUI accident on Airways Boulevard, Sunday morning.
 
According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident happened on November 12, at about 6:00 a.m. A southbound 2004 Mercedes coupe was reportedly speeding. The vehicle later left the roadway and slammed into a fire hydrant and two light poles near Dakota Avenue.
 
The impact of the collision ejected one passenger, later identified as Ramirez, causing fatal injuries.
 
Meanwhile, another passenger, identified as an 18-year-old woman, was transported to a hospital. As per reports, the victim was admitted into surgery for a skull fracture and severe leg injuries.
 
Authorities arrested the Mercedes driver on suspicion of felony DUI and felony vehicular manslaughter.
 
Fresno police will release additional information once it becomes available.
