Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Pickup Truck on Highway 1 in Santa Cruz

 
SANTA CRUZ, CA (November 15, 2023) – A man died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 1 west of Santa Cruz Saturday afternoon on November 11.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:04 p.m. at Dimeo Lane. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was riding a red 2008 Victory Vision motorcycle when he collided with a white 2003 Toyota Tundra pickup truck for unknown reasons.
 
As a result, the man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 62-year-old Los Gatos resident.
 
The driver and passenger of the pickup truck were not injured.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. CHP officials said alcohol and drugs were not considered as factors.
