Giorgi Ambrolidze, Jakab Lewis, Katelyn Patten Hurt after Douglas City Car Crash

 
DOUGLAS CITY, CA (March 24, 2022) — 26-year-old Giorgi Ambrolidze of Brooklyn, NY, and two others suffered injuries in a crash on Saturday.
 
According to reports, at around 1:13 p.m., 19-year-old Katelyn Patten of Lewiston drove a 2001 Toyota Camry westbound on Highway 299 west of Steel Bridge Road.
 
At the same time, Ambrolidze drove a Ford truck-trailer combination eastbound on the highway approaching the Camry. Then for unknown reasons, Patten allowed her vehicle to cross the solid double yellow lines.
 
The front of the Camry collided with the left side of the truck. The impact of the crash caused the engine and transmission of the Camry to detach from the vehicle. Then it spun counterclockwise and the rear of Camry crashed with Ford’s Trailer.
 
Officials brought Ambrolidze to Mercy Medical Center via R.E.A.C.H. air ambulance for treatment of major injuries.
 
Medics rushed the Camry’s passenger, 19-year-old Jakab Lewis of Lewiston, to Trinity General Hospital. Both Lewis and Patten sustained minor injuries.
 
Officials do not suspect alcohol and or drugs as factors to this traffic crash.
 
There were no reports of any arrests made.
