Gene Kittiko and Nicolas Lanni Killed in Four-Vehicle Accident on 15 Freeway [Temescal Valley, CA]

Four-Vehicle Crash in Temescal Valley Kills Senior and Another Man

 
TEMESCAL VALLEY, CA (March 8, 2024) – Gene Kittiko and Nicolas Lanni died in a four-vehicle accident in Temescal Valley Thursday evening on March 7.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 10:00 p.m. on 15 Freeway, just south of Indian Truck Trail. According to the California Highway Patrol, Kittiko and Lanni were in sedans that collided with another car and an SUV during heavy rain along the corridor.
 
One of the cars reportedly hydroplaned in the fast lane, possibly triggering the crash.
 
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics responded and found Lanni dead in his car. Kittiko was gravely injured and unconscious.
 
Paramedics then rushed Kittiko to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, where he also succumbed to his injuries just after midnight Thursday.
 
Kittiko was 79 years old from Ontario, while Lanni was 34 years old of Norco.
 
Meanwhile, three other people were also taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
