Gabriel Romero Detained in Deadly Pedestrian Crash on Foothill Boulevard near Locust Avenue

 
FONTANA, CA (November 20, 2023) — Gabriel Romero was arrested in a fatal pedestrian accident on Foothill Boulevard near Locust Avenue.
 
According to the Fontana Police Department, the deadly hit-and-run happened around 7:31 p.m. on November 15. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a 71-year-old pedestrian to the ground and left the scene.
 
Shortly after, officers arrived to find a deceased man’s body in the roadway just south of Foothill Boulevard. Officials haven’t identified the victim who died.
 
Following a thorough investigation, police connected a white 2004 Chevy pickup truck to the crash and located the vehicle at a registered address. Upon responding, the Fontana Police Department arrested 47-year-old Romero, charging him with felony hit-and-run.
 
At this time, he remains incarcerated at West Valley Detention Center.
