Police Arrest 2 Juveniles after Pursuit of Stolen Car Ends in Crash on Highway 94 in La Mesa

 
LA MESA, CA (February 11, 2023) – Four people were injured after a police pursuit on Highway 94 in the La Mesa neighborhood Tuesday morning on February 7.
 
According to the El Cajon Police Department, the pursuit started just after 11:30 a.m. Two juveniles, who were traveling along the highway in a stolen blue Hyundai Sonata, were heading west and got off at Spring Street when they allegedly ran a red light and struck a white Nissan Altima.
 
A family of five were inside the Altima, which included an infant, a toddler, and a young girl.
 
The impact of the crash caused minor to moderate injuries on four of the five occupants in the Altima. Paramedics took them to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
Meanwhile, police arrested the juveniles, who are likely to face charges such as evading police and child endangerment.
 
Police said impairment is not a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
