Head-On Crash on Highway 18 in Llano Sends Four People to Hospital

 
LLANO, CA (April 23, 2024) – Four people were injured in a head-on accident on Highway 18 just east of Llano Sunday afternoon on April 21.
 
The accident happened around 4:18 p.m. near 248th Street. According to California Highway Patrol, a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a dark gray Toyota Corolla sedan collided head-on for unknown reasons.
 
San Bernardino County Fire Department crews responded and found both vehicles with major front-end damage.
 
Four people and dog were injured in the crash. Two of the patients were airlifted, one to Antelope Valley Medical Center and the other to Pomona Valley Hospital. Both suffered critical injuries.
 
The two other people patients had moderate injuries.
 
A dog was traveling in one of the vehicles. The LA County Animal Control was able to take the dog to be check out.

At this time, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
