One Airlifted after Head-On Accident on Highway 154 at Foxen Canyon Road

 
SANTA YNEZ VALLEY, CA (November 22, 2022) – Four people sustained injuries in a head-on accident on Highway 154, Sunday evening.
 
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the incident happened on November 20, at about 6:30 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, two vehicles collided head-on near Foxen Canyon Road.
 
Two women needed extrication from the wreckage. Then, a county helicopter transported one victim to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of major injuries. Meanwhile, the second victim was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center.
 
A ground ambulance also transported one injured man to Marian. As per reports, a fourth victim also suffered injuries but did not need hospitalization.
 
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
