Bicycle Accident on Churn Creek Road near Le Brun Lane in Redding

 
REDDING, CA (November 21, 2022) – A 51-year-old bicyclist was struck by a vehicle on Churn Creek Road, Sunday evening.
 
According to the Redding Police Department, the incident happened on November 20, at about 6:03 p.m. A southbound vehicle reportedly attempted to turn onto Churn Creek Road when it hit a bicyclist near Le Brun Lane.
 
The driver of the vehicle reportedly complained of leg pain but did not need hospitalization. No other injuries were reported by responders.
 
Investigators believe that the bicyclist failed to follow cyclist laws. As per reports, the cyclist was traveling against the flow of traffic.
 
Redding police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
