SUV Crashes into Bakery in Davis Injuring 4 People

 
DAVIS, CA (May 6, 2023) – Four people were hospitalized after a car crashed into Upper Crust Baking in Davis Sunday last week on April 29.
 
According to reports, an older woman who is a long-time customer of the bakery was parking and mistakenly pressed on the accelerator instead of the brakes. She then drove through floor-to-ceiling glass windows of the bakery.
 
Four people at the business, including two small children and one very new employee, suffered minor injuries. They were taken to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
Community members have launched a fundraising effort for the business and more than $12,000 has been raised.
 
An investigation into this accident is underway.
