Two Big Rigs Involved in Accident on Highway 58 at Broome Road in Tehachapi

 
TEHACHAPI, CA (May 23, 2022) – Fire crews responded after a fire broke out in a big rig accident on eastbound Highway 58 on May 19.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened just east of Broome Road around 12:30 PM.
 
Based on reports, a big rig with wine parked on the shoulder of the road prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, another big rig loaded with broccoli struck it.
 
As a result, one of the truck drivers suffered injuries in the incident. Also, a fire broke out after one of the trucks caught on fire. Immediately, fire crews responded to and stopped the progress of the fire.
 
Crews also closed the eastbound lanes of the road. As of now, police are still investigating the incident. Also, no other details are available.
