Fernando Abrego Charged in Deadly DUI Crash at Tribal Road and Valley Center Road

 
VALLEY CENTER, CA (April 22, 2024) — Fernando Abrego faces DUI charges following a fatal two-car accident at Tribal Road and Valley Center Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly two-vehicle crash happened around 8:20 p.m. Friday. For DUI-related reasons, 34-year-old Fernando Porras Abrego crashed his southbound white Ford Expedition into an eastbound white Toyota Camry at the intersection.
 
Subsequently, CHP and paramedics arrived to find the 19-year-old Toyota driver at the scene with fatal injuries. Abrego, who was unharmed in the crash, displayed signs of intoxication and was booked into the Vista Detention Facility where he faces multiple charges.
 
At this time, the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the fatal victim’s name. However, we will update this report once we require more information.
