65-Year-Old Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Highway 94 in Spring Valley

 
SPRING VALLEY, CA (April 22, 2024) — A 65-year-old man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Highway 94 near Old Campo Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 10:53 p.m. Monday. Under unclear circumstances, a 48-year-old man from Lemon Grove struck a man walking southbound in the eastbound lane. Subsequently, the 48-year-old man from Lemon Grove left the scene of the accident, failing to help the victim.
 
Shortly after, paramedics and police arrived at the scene to assess the crash and check on the victim. However, the pedestrian passed away not long after. Officials have yet to release his name.
 
At this time, police need help identifying the driver of the 2016 Audi A4. Therefore, if anyone has information about the driver’s whereabouts, please call the El Cajon Area CHP office at 619-401-2000.
