Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with Pickup Truck Carrying Live Bees in Jamestown

 
JAMESTOWN, CA (August 28, 2022)Eugene Gragg was killed in a motorcycle accident in the Jamestown area of Tuolumne County on Monday, August 22.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 10:00 p.m. at the Rushing Hill Lookout Road turnaround. According to the California Highway Patrol, 62-year-old Ronald Ray Woods of Oakdale was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, with live bee boxes onboard, northbound on the Rushing Hill Lookout Road turnaround.
 
At the same time, Gragg was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson Road Glide motorcycle.
 
As Woods crossed the westbound Highway 120, the front of the motorcycle struck the passenger side of the pickup truck.
 
As a result, Gragg was thrown from his motorcycle and died at the scene. He was a 67-year-old Modesto resident.
 
Woods was unharmed. He stayed on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
The crash is still under investigation. Authorities asked witnesses to call the Sonora Area CHP office at 209-984-3944.
