Esequil Valle, Ricardo Castillo Injured, Arrested in High-Speed Police Chase Accident on Mango Drive [Fontana, CA]

Esequil Valle, Ricardo Castillo Hurt, Detained in High-Speed Police Pursuit Crash on Mango Drive near San Bernardino Avenue

 
FONTANA, CA (March 27, 2023) — Esequil Valle and Ricardo Castillo were injured and arrested in a high-speed police chase that resulted in an accident on Mango Drive near San Bernardino Avenue.
 
According to Fontana Police, the incident happened around 10:00 p.m. on March 22. Officers tried to stop a black Honda Accord for vehicle code violations near Foothill Boulevard and Palmetto Avenue. However, the driver of the black Honda fled and drove through a Walmart parking lot and went southbound on Mango Drive. Police followed the speeding Honda until the Accord ran a stop sign and crashed into a parked unoccupied vehicle.
 
Three occupants inside the Honda fled on foot, but 20-year-old Esequil Valle — a rear-seat passenger — was arrested. Somehow, the driver and front seat passenger evaded capture following the accident. Paramedics brought Valle to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for a leg injury.
 
However, several hours later, officers succeeded in finding 27-year-old Ricardo Castillo at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Fontana and took him to custody without incident.
 
Both Castillo and Valle remain booked at West Valley Detention Center while officers seek the public’s help in identifying the third suspect.
